Ha’oom Fisheries Society is hosting a T’aaq-wiihak Fisheries Networking Event on June 6th, 2024, at the Tin-Wis Resort, Best Western for T’aaq-wiihak fishers and The event will start at 3:00PM and end at 8:00PM.
This event aims to help build our fishers' businesses and grow their connections in the food and fishing industries. Ha’oom Fisheries Society implements the rights-based T’aaq-wiihak Fisheries of the Ahousaht Nation and Hesquiaht (Hot Springs Cove), Mowachaht/Muchalaht (Gold River), Ehattesaht/Chinehkint (Zeballos), and Tla-o-qui-aht (Tofino) First Nations, who are collectively known as the five Nations.

SEAFOOD Harvesters
This event connects new and veteran First Nations fishers with buyers and organizations to support their fishery businesses. We have a great event of learning and networking planned for you. Support services for the fishing industry will be included, along with presentations and networking opportunities. This event is open to all fishers, deckhands, youth, and families who want to get into the fishing industry, learn more about the opportunities available, and grow their businesses.
