It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Constant Charleson. We’d like to extend our most heartfelt condolences to his family. Con was a pillar within the Hesquiaht Nation. He was a captain, a leader, and a passionate advocate for advancing the rights of First Nations fishers. Con was a director on our board, one of the lead negotiators for his Nation, and a force in the Five Nations fishery. We'd also like to thank Con, and his family, for his years of dedication and service advocating for our fishing rights. He will be missed by many. Rest in Peace, Con.
We have received permission from Con's family to use these photos and will display them for two weeks, after which we will remove them from this post.
